Jewish MKs Seek Prayer Break After Muslims Accommodated

Voting in the Knesset on various aspects of the 2013-2014 budget and Financial Arrangements Law are expected to continue into the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Muslim Knesset members who are interested in not missing a vote sought a break in the voting to allow them to break the Ramadan fast.

After their request was granted by Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, Jewish Members of Knesset requested a break to allow them to conduct mincha afternoon prayers. The break is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
