The Forum for Equal Burden of Service criticized on Sunday night the recommendations of the Perry Committee for Equal Burden, which will be brought to a vote in the Knesset on Monday.
"After all the masks were removed from the Perry Committee, every week another detail in a series of decrees designed to perpetuate inequality in the burden is revealed,” the Forum charged in a statement. “Delaying the enlistment of hareidim until 2020 means placing the responsibility for it on a future, theoretical government. Again, the serving public finds itself alone under the stretcher and facing countless broken promises over and over again. It turns out that despite the promises for new politics, there is no future when it comes to equality in the burden.”
