Chairman David Elhayani of the Jordan Valley Regional Council firmly rejected, Friday, the criticism of law enforcement in Judea and Samaria, expressed on Wednesday by State Comptroller Yoseph Shapiro. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, Elhayani said, "This report has caused me to lose my faith in the office of the comptroller."
Elhayani took the comptroller to task for not visiting the area in person. He said the council was not approached for information, calling the comptroller's report false, biased and populist. The comptroller's office responded by saying it followed proper procedures in compiling the report.
