Remote-Control Terror by Lifer Freed in Shalit Deal

Indictments were filed in the Judean Military Court, Thursday, against five defendants who were accused of conspiracy to intentionally cause death, contact with an enemy, membership in a military cell and other charges, including weapons trafficking and stone throwing. They were accused of conspiring with Hasham Hijaz, a Hamas terrorist who was serving ten life sentences for involvement in a terror cell that killed ten Israelis but was released among more than a thousand security prisoners for abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and deported to Qatar.

The defendants allegedly met with Hijaz in Jordan and consulted with him about attacking Israeli targets. When they returned, they planned attacks in Judea and Samaria (Shomron). As a result of their interrogation, additional indictments against additional suspects are expected.
