Graffiti in Bnei Brak Against Hareidi Soldiers

Police in the prominent hareidi-religious city of Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, are investigating the spray painting of graffiti against hareidi-religious soldiers, Thursday afternoon, on a building on Ramban Street. The graffiti read "Hardakim [literally "frivolous" or "irresponsible" - a derogatory term -ed.] - your place is not here."

Hareidi soldiers have been abused and attacked in some hareidi circles for taking time away from their religious studies. Legislation is before the Knesset to increase hareidi participation in national military and civilian service.
