Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with modest gains. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,113.78, up .32 percent, while the TA 100 rose .29 percent to 1,111.21, including a .26-percent gain to 1,226.89 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 992.06, up .78 percent.
The same percentage increase meant a 329.73 close for most of the technology index, while the biomed issues led the gainers, advancing nine tenths of a percent to 877.29. Next came the communications stocks, which closed at 623.45, up .68 percent, while the oil and natural-gas index gained .31 percent to 1,140.58. The financial institutions finished the day at 1,149.97, up .09 percent, with the bank component edging up .03 percent to 1,163.53 and the insurance issues declining .58 percent to 1,428.20. The real-estate stocks stood at 361.40, down .64 percent.
