Following Alleged Rape, More Calls to Deport Sudanese

Former Interior Minister MK Eli Yishai (Shas) commented on the arrest of a Sudanese citizen who alleged raped a crippled woman in Tel Aviv. "It is duty of the state to ensure the security of its citizens," he stated. He called upon the government to hasten the establishment of more halfway houses for the numerous illegal aliens from Sudan and Eritrea. Such facilities would have medical care and social services for the illegals. He also called upon the illegals to be swiftly repatriated to either their home countries or a third party country. MK Yishai was instrumental in the creation of a large fence along the southern border and increased restrictions which resulted in bringing the flow of illegals to a halt. Alternative news reports indicate the suspect may either be from Eritrea or Sudan.
