"Sustainable Economy Not Dependent on Negotiations"

Chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee MK Prof. Avishay Braverman (Labor) stated on Wednesday that Israel doesn't need to negotiate with the Palestinian Authority to maintain a sustainable economy. He made the comments in reference to the European Union's announcement to cut off all ties with any Jewish communities in eastern, southern or northern Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and any area outside the 1949 Armistice lines.

Although MK Braverman leans toward negotiations and urged Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu to sit down with the PA, he stated it wouldn't make or break Israel. "We can maintain a viable economy built on foreign investments, not on progress in the peace process," he said.
