United States and Palestinian Authority officials both indicated a slim chance of resuming negotiations with Israel. They spoke to the Associated Press following the meeting between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. They said there were slim but low expectations of future talks.
Secretary Kerry arrived in Jordan, where he met with Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and then met with Abbas for a private dinner. Secretary Kerry is not expected to visit Israel again on this trip as he has done in the past.
