MK Cabel: Break Up Broadcast Authority Management

Member of Knesset Eitan Cabel (Labor) called, Monday morning, for the breakup of the management of the financially-strapped Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA). The call came as the Knesset State Control Committee met to discuss the State Comptroller's report on the IBA.

Demanding that State Comptroller Yoseph Shapiro make the demand of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Cabel said, "Three things must be done: Breaking up of the management, the establishment of a rescue team to work on two fronts - continued work on reform and, on the other hand, the establishment of new public broadcasting. There is no political interest but saving public broadcasting."
