Orlev to Run for Jewish Home Leadership in Jerusalem

Chairman Itzik Moshe of the Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) publicized, Sunday evening, the list of candidates who will competing for a place on the party's ballot in the Jerusalem municipal elections this fall. Former chairman Zevulun Orlev of the party's Knesset faction will compete for the top spot on the ballot against Deputy Mayor David Hadari, Chairman Herzl Yechezkel of the Har Homa neighborhood administration, former Knesset member Yigal Bibi, Yehuda (Gori) Freudiger and Shim'on Almaliach.

Some activists in the chapter told Arutz Sheva that they would like to see an agreed-upon figure of the religious Zionist movement in the top spot who will also get support from the Tekuma party. The activists say party leaders are demanding primary elections and only afterward will they ask to "expand the ranks" with other parties.
