The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office submitted to the city's Magistrates Court, Friday morning, charging Yoseph Brown and Ya'akov Krishevski, men in their early 20s, with aggravated assault on a police officer, obstructing an officer in the line of duty, and taking part in a disturbance.
The charges stem from an incident, Tuesday evening, in which a hareidi-religious soldier in uniform was verbally abused when he went to visit his uncle in the predominantly hareidi Mea She'arim neighborhood. About 50 meters from his uncle's office, he was hit in the neck by a trash bag thrown by an unknown person and fled to the office, where he called police. The accused were allegedly among a crowd that threw rocks, metal, chairs and buckets of water at the police who responded. Krishevski allegedly remained disorderly after he was arrested and spat at police.
