The central investigation unit of the Israel Police's Northern District arrested four residents of the the Galilee village of Bir Al-Maksur between the ages of 19 and 29 in connection with two infiltrations into the Naftali military base that resulted in the theft of four weapons. On both occasions, soldiers at the base were violently attacked.
One of those arrested is a 19-year-old soldier at the base who was first thought to be robbed and handcuffed during one of the thefts. He was implicated later. The investigation indicates the thieves sold the weapons. Three suspects face a hearing for the extension of their remand on Friday at a Nazareth court.
