US Checking if Syrian Rebels Used Sarin Gas

The United States is checking a report by Russian experts that opponents of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad used sarin gas during an offensive on the city of Aleppo in March.

State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said there was no reliable information about rebel use of the gas. She accused the Moscow government of thwarting the efforts of the United Nations Security Council to send UN experts to Syria to examine the claims made by both sides in the Syrian civil war about their opponent's use of chemical weapons.
