Police Backtrack on Report of Rocket Attack

An Israeli police spokesman told Agence France Presse, Thursday afternoon, that contrary to an earlier announcement, no rocket was fired by terrorists in Hamas-ruled Gaza at Israel. Spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said, "There was no rocket in the end -- it was a false alarm."

Earlier, Rosenfeld had told AFP that a rocket "landed in the Negev region." No injuries or damage were reported.
