A group of Jewish residents are concerned that the Afikim bus company may be cutting service to Jewish communities for the Muslim month of Ramadan.
Arutz Sheva news reported that according to an official announcement, the reason is summer vacation. However reports say a company representative indicated may drivers are Muslim and are not showing up top work since Ramadan began on Tuesday.
The chairman of Samaria Residents Committee Benny Katzover said it wasn't fair that one group's religious beliefs should infringe upon another group's ability to travel. He suggested the Ministry of Transportation license alternative companies and that more Jewish drivers to be hired instead.
Afikim services routes such as from Tel Aviv to Ariel and throughout the western Samaria district to the Gush Dan coastal region.
