The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened Tuesday trading with modest gains in mixed trading. About half an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,090.93, up .07percent, while the TA 100 edged up .05 percent to 1,088.58, despite a slip of .03 percent to 1,207.33 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 965.92, up .39 percent.
Leading the gainers was the biomed index, which advanced .62 percent to 866.27, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 317.98, up .15 percent. The oil and natural-gas stocks gained a tenth of a percent to 1,103.20, while the financial institutions stood at 1,101.92, up .05 percent, despite a slip of .01 percent to 1,325.12 by the insurance index and loss of .05 percent to 1,132.32 by the bank issues. The real-estate stocks stood at 353.55, up .03 percent, and the communications index fell .26 percent to 582.85.
