F-16 Crew Released from Hospital

The pilot and navigator of the F-16I Sufa (Storm) fighter plane which crashed in the Mediterranean Sea, Sunday, were released in good condition, Monday morning from the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, east of Tel Aviv.

A technical malfunction is believed to be responsible for the jet's engine shutting down during a training flight. Aircraft with similar engines have been grounded, pending completion of an investigation into the cause of the accident.
