Labor Dispute at Habima Theater

Actors at the Tel Aviv-based Habima theater declared, Thursday evening, that they would stop performing and rehearsing in about two-and-a-half weeks because their salaries have been paid late and payments have not been made to their pension funds.

Management said it was in the middle of negotiations with the actors' committee and that it hoped to finalize an agreement in a few days. A management statement noted that the theater was in the middle of a government-supervised financial-recovery program.
