Supreme Leader of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt Arrested

Mohammed Badie', the supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, was arrested, Thursday, by Egyptian security forces, according to the government information agency. Opponents of ousted president Mohammed Morsi demanded the arrest of Badie' and his deputy, Khairat Ash-Shater, because of the deaths of eight demonstrators in clashes that took place outside the Brotherhood's headquarters in Cairo.

Badie' and Ash-Shater were thought to be the real driving force behind Morsi's government.
