MK Asher Tries to Improve Bnei Brak Transportation

Member of Knesset Ya'akov Asher (United Torah Judaism-Yahadut Hatorah) met, Sunday, with managers of the Veolia-Connex company, which operates bus lines 400 and 422 between Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, to look at ways of improving transportation within Bnei Brak and beyond its borders.

Asher, a former mayor of Bnei Brak, and those in attendance developed solutions for congestion in the public transportation system and ways to improve evening service to the city's banquet halls, as well as weekend service between Bnei Brak and Jerusalem. Also developed were ways to keep Bnei Brak's predominantly hareidi-religious population informed about developments. MK Asher promised his immediate intervention with the Transportation Ministry to enact the solutions as soon as possible.
