The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,072.57, down .09 percent, while the TA 100 declined .11 percent to 1,069.56, including a .34-percent drop to 1,189.67. The stocks outside the TA 100 edged up .03 percent to 963.60.
Leading the gainers was the insurance index, which rose .35 percent to 1,317.09 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,094.24, down .37 percent, including a .81-percent loss by the bank issues. The real-estate stocks advanced .27 percent to 345.15, while the oil and natural-gas index stood at 1,129.06, up .04 percent. Most of the technology issues lost an average of .23 percent to 310.07 while the biomed stocks stood at 849.83, down .56 percent, and the communications index fell .78 percent to 562.71.
