Shekel, Dollars, Yen Up; Euro, Pound Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .015 percent, Wednesday, in mixed trading against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.616, up .305 percent from Tuesday's rate, while the Euro declined .404 percent to 4.7122 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.5564 shekels, down .226 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .224 percent to NIS 3.7104. The Australian dollar climbed .71 percent to NIS 3.3635, while its Canadian counterpart was set at 3.4507 shekels, up .235 percent, and the South African rand fell .555 percent to NIS .3585.
