Gains outdid losses, Wednesday, to give the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange a positive finish. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,073.53, up .15 percent from Tuesday's close, while the TA 100 rose .13 percent to 1,070.71, despite a .17-percent decline to 1,193.67 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 advanced .29 percent to 963.28.
Leading the gainers was the biomed index, which jumped 2.46 percent to 854.65, while the rest of the technology issues climbed 1.2 percent to 310.77. The insurance stocks stood at 1,312.52, up .28 percent, as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,098.37, up .07 percent, including a .14-percent gain to 1,132.22 by the bank index. The Ma'ala organization's list of socially responsible-sustainable growth companies slipped .02 percent to 966.91, while the real-estate issues lost .32 percent to 344.21. The oil and natural-gas stocks stood at 1,128.56, down 1.43 percent, while the communications index fell 1.86 percent to 567.16.
