PM: Talks are Not Just a Checkmark

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Tuesday morning, "Our profound hopes are for peace, true peace that can only be obtained in direct talks without preconditions.

Speaking at the beginning of a meeting with visiting Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, Netanyahu continued, "We are willing to enter such negotiations. I hope that the Palestinians are ready for it as well. I must say our goal is not only to enter and make a checkmark on the beginning negotiations. Our goal is to continue discussions and keep them going for some time to try to deal with all the issues and reach an agreement to solve the substantive issues of the conflict. It will take time, determination and [a] methodical [approach]...." He concluded, "This is our approach. I hope it's theirs too. "
