Yehoram Gaon: Sebastia is My Caesarea

Entertainer Yehoram Gaon made his way from his home in Ramat Hasharon, north of Tel Aviv, to the amphitheater in the ancient Samarian (Shomron) capital of Sebastia, Sunday evening, for a sunset concert of Israeli songs that had 1,200 educators and local residents dancing.

The Israel Prize winner told Arutz Sheva it was exciting to perform at the ancient venue in the Samarian hills, one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. Referring to a more famous amphitheater on the Mediterranean coast, he told the audience, "Sebastia is my Caesarea."
