Egypt Releases Israeli Suspected of Drug Smuggling

Egyptian authorities released on Sunday an Israeli citizen who was detained last month at the Taba border crossing on suspicion of smuggling illegal drugs into the Sinai Peninsula.

According to local media, Suleiman Abu Ralyum, a resident of southern Israel, was thought to have been in possession of substances mistaken for illegal drugs when he tried to cross the border into Egypt. A lab test found that the substance in question was legal medication.
