PA Prime Minister Quits After 2 Weeks

Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah of the Palestinian Authority submitted his resignation to Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday, about two weeks after taking office. Hamdallah cited differences with Abu-Mazen over his areas of authority. The successor to Salam Fayyad had talked about staying in office until August, when a national unity government was expected, if reconciliation was achieved between Abbas's Fatah faction and Hamas.
