U.S. Report: Israel Fighting Human Trafficking

For the second consecutive year, Israel has ranked high in the annual report of the U.S. State Department on the fight against human trafficking. The high rank is recognition that Israel makes significant efforts to prevent this phenomenon.

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni welcomed the report and said, "Only a decade ago, Israel was on the shameful blacklist of countries where human trafficking took place, and now this report puts Israel in line with civilized nations that are fighting modern slavery."
