Lapid: Shabbat Buses - Only in Secular Areas

Finance Minister Yair Lapid said, Thursday evening, that he wants to start public transportation on Shabbat, but only in secular areas. In a Facebook conversation, the Yesh Atid party chairman said, therefore, that it would not be a religious provocation but a matter of economics for those who cannot afford their own vehicles or taxis. He  said the struggle on this issue will come in time and that not everything could be expected in the first few months of the coalition.

Lapid said raising taxes on the rich was a bad idea that has not succeeded elsewhere in the world. He said the marginal tax on the top percentile is already above 51 percent, one of the largest in the world
