Two dead after float plane crashes in North Battleford


A father and son are dead after a small plane crashed Thursday close to the airport at North Battleford, Sask.

The Transportation Safety Board confirmed it was a Piper PA-14 float plane that crashed this morning at the Cameron McIntosh Airport.

"There were two people aboard and the aircraft was destroyed in a post-impact fire," Chris Krepski, from the board, said Thursday.

The RCMP confirm Shane Buchanan, 40, and his father, Charles Buchanan, 63, from Yukon, died
