No Apartments Marketed over 'Line' since Start of 2013

Sources in the Housing Ministry, the Israel Lands Administration, the Jerusalem municipality and the Yesha Council of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) are accusing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of delaying and de facto freezing of construction in Judea and Samaria, as well as in parts of the capital beyond the 1949 Cease Fire Line, according to a Monday-morning report by Israel Defense Forces Radio.

Housing Ministry figures received by the station showed not one dwelling over the armistice line in Jerusalem has been marketed this year, compared to more than 1,500 in 2012 and about 200 in each of the previous years. Sources in the Lands Administration placed the blame on the Prime Minister's Office, accusing it directly of not marketing land for dwellings in the eastern part of the capital.
