Report: No More Civilian Use for Kuneitra Crossing

The Kuneitra Crossing between Israel and Syria will only be used for the crossing of international troops, according to a Monday-morning report by Channel 2 Television. Until now, the crossing has been used for civilian purposes, such as the crossing of Druze students from the Golan Heights to a university in Damascus, the unification of families and agricultural exports.

The last of 47 Druze students are expected to return during the week, bringing to an end 30 years of studies subsidized by the family of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, since no Golan students are registered to learn in the civil war-torn country next year.
