Amonah Commander: Leg Shots were Legitimate

Commander of the violent Amonah evacuation in 2006 told the court during the trial of a colleague for bludgeoning passively resistant teenagers, "It wouldn't be legitimate to shoot them in the head, but certainly in the legs. After all, the government decided Amonah was a closed military zone, and usage of force under such circumstances is warranted."

When asked if skull smashing with a club like the defendant did was also warranted, the commander replied, "Look, if I'm aiming for the guy's legs and he writhes and thrashes his body around, I might inadvertently hit him in the head."
