Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,102.77, down .24 percent, while the TA 100 declined .22 percent to 1,101.46, including a .09-percent slip to 1,225.26 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 977.40, down .34 percent.
Leading the gainers was the bank index, which rose .45 percent to 1,190.98 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,164.62, up .18 percent, including a .16-percent drop to 1,430.25 by the insurance issues. The communications stocks advanced .32 percent to 547.59 while the indices of the companies with the best bond yields also gained. The oil and natural-gas index slipped .09 percent to 1,156.35 while the real-estate issues stood at 360.96, down two tenths of a percent. Most of the technology stocks lost half a percent to 318.42, while the biomed index stood at 848.54, down .95 percent.
