Mickey Hart, the world renown percussion player who first became famous as a member of the Grateful Dead, will perform in Jerusalem this summer. The Grateful Dead was a highly influential American musical act that sold out concerts worldwide for 30 years.
Hart, a Jewish-American drummer and ethnomusicologist will bring his mix of different world rhythms to the stage for his first ever visit to Israel. He will perform on August 22nd at the Mount Scopus Amphitheater in Jerusalem. The concert will be part of the annual Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival in which performers from around the world display different ethnic styles of music. Hart's band is composed of different performers from various countries.
