The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,109.91, down .16 percent, while the TA 100 declined .11 percent from Wednesday's close to 1,107.90, including a .01-percent slip to 1,232.00 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 988.84, down .66 percent.
Leading the gainers was most of the technology index, which advanced .64 percent to 324.24, while the biomed issues dropped .13 percent to 862.78. The financial institutions finished the day at 1,156.26, up .62 percent. The bank component gained .33 percent to 1,179.68 while the insurance stocks stood at 1,425.47, up .29 percent. The real-estate index slipped .01 percent to 358.73 while the oil and natural-gas issues stood at 1,145.93, down 1.1 percent, and the communications stocks fell 1.31 percent to 546.80.
