HaTnuah Displeased with Stern Law Veto

HaTnuah says The Jewish Home should embrace the Stern Law and stand by its election promise of promotion of new politics in Israel, "instead of catering to extremists who do not want the Chief Rabbinate Election Committee expanded to accommodate at least 50 more women."

The Jewish Home insists on suspension of its support essential for the legislation of the Stern Law in order to ensure that the members to be added on to the Chief Rabbinate Election Committee according to the new law not be anti-Orthodox or anti-Zionist, hoping to promote the addition of  members who will support the candidacy of a Rabbi from Religious Zionist circles.
