Feiglin: Begin to Blame for Oslo Accords

MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud) said on Sunday that former Prime Minister Menachem Begin is to blame for the signing of the disastrous Oslo Accords.

Speaking at an event marking 20 years since the signing of the Oslo Accords, which took place at the Bar Ilan University, Feiglin said, "The one to blame for the disaster called Oslo is Menachem Begin. Oslo came into the world because Israel refused to exercise its sovereignty over land it liberated during the Six Day War. The leadership did not want Jerusalem which fell into our hands.”

He added, “The Oslo Accords were meant to force Israel to rid itself of the so-called ‘damned territories’, as Yossi Sarid called them, and peace was the last goal of these agreements. It was clear soon afterwards that peace is not the goal at all. We only got more terrible bloodshed."
