MK Uri Maklev (Shas) strongly opposed the Treasury rebuttal of criticism against austerity measures, by which it is the 'responsibility of parents to provide for their children', "And what if parents need help supporting their kids?" Maklev asked the Knesset, and added, "The Treasury must show compassion, and save another 50,000 children from dropping beneath the poverty line."
