Report: Israel Complains to UN About Syrian Fire

Israel has complained to United Nations forces on the Golan Heights about shots fired from Syria that hit the Golan Heights overnight, according to a military spokeswoman cited by Agence France Presse, Monday morning.

AFP said the spokeswoman would not confirm that the fire struck an Israeli army patrol operating near the Jewish community of Alonei Habashan. No injuries or damage were reported and the soldiers did not return fire. The bullets are believed to be strays from fire between Syrian rebels and troops loyal to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
