Finance Minister Yair Lapid and Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer have appointed a Treasury National Debt Erasure Committee led by CEO Yael Anduran that will provide its professional recommendations on the following issues:
1. Debt erasure criteria with credit implications;
2. Approval regulations for debt erasure, addressing possible conflict of interest;
3. Possible imposition of limitations on corporate owners or companies undergoing bankruptcy and debt erasure;
4. Full public disclosure of instances of debt erasure.
