President Barack Obama of the United States promised, Monday evening, to exert his power, during the current term, to bring about a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
Speaking to a Jewish audience at a Democratic party fundraising event, the president said there was still a strong desire for peace on both sides. He added that chances had to be taken because of the changes in the Middle East, the chance of a PA state and Israel's security.
