At Least 6 Ministers Threaten Vote Against Budget

At least six ministers are threatening to vote against the budget, according to a Friday-morning report by the Ma'ariv daily.

Among them, Housing Minister Uri Ariel has said that he would oppose the budget if a building freeze is carried out in Jerusalem, as well as Judea and Samaria (Shomron). Tourism Minister Uzi Landau is opposed to the imposition of value-added tax on incoming tourism and Environmental Protection Minister Amir Peretz has threatened to oppose the budget if cuts to child support and single-parent households remain in the document.
