It's not every day that the mayor of a major metropolitan city dangles from a crane 60 meters in the air. But that's exactly what Mayor Nir Barkat did on Jerusalem Day. He was among the estimated 500 people to visit Mount Scopus, one of the cities highest points. "We are at an amazing place on Mount Scopus and we look out over united Jerusalem," the mayor stated, calling it a mix of "heavenly Jerusalem and earthly Jerusalem." He added, "I think this place is amazing and is especially recommended for those who want to see the nine measures of beauty which descended to the world and fell in Jerusalem," quoting a famous verse from the Talmud.
