Litzman to Netanyahu: Don't Cancel Free Dental Care

Former Deputy Health Minister, MK Yaakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism), sent a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, in which he warned against the planned cancellation of the program which will offer free dental care to children up to age 14. The cancellation was announced as part of the cuts introduced by Finance Minister Yair Lapid.

“The recommendation of Minister Lapid to cancel the free dental care to the age of 14 is devastating and will directly harm the children of Israel, after the plan was unanimously approved in the government, after the signing of a legal agreement between the Ministries of Finance and Health and after the plan was put into the budget of the Ministry of Health. Cancelling the plan will be like robbing straight from the mouths of our children,” wrote Litzman.
