Cabinet Grants Benefits to Jerusalem Institutions

Ahead of Wednesday's 46th annivesary of the re-unification of Jerusalem, the government voted, Sunday, to allocate lands for the expansion of academic institutions in Jerusalem, including the Betzalel School of Art and Design at the Hebrew University and the Machon Lev College of Technology. Similar benefits will allow the construction of a building for the Nature Museum and expansion of the Bible Lands Museum.

A team was created in the Prime Minister's Office to find a solution to a land dispute which is holding up development of 55,000 square meters next to the Binyanei Ha'uma International Convention Center as part of what is known as the "Entrance to the City" plan. If the sides cannot reach agreement, the matter will be turned over to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein.
