Former Labor MK Yoram Marciano, who recently announced that he will run for mayor of the city of Lod, told Arutz Sheva on Thursday that he intends to give back Lod’s residents their sense of security without hurting the rights of local Arabs.
"I'm going to be everyone’s mayor: religious, secular, Arabs and Jews,” said Marciano. “Arabs make up 33 percent of the city. I'm not an extremist and there is no such thing as putting them on buses and expelling them. I believe in dialogue, in a good education and in giving all the rights, but they also need to obey the law."
