Hezbollah Helping Assad Fight Syrian Rebels

Sources within the defense establishment stated that more and more Hezbollah terrorists are operating in Syria and fighting alongside the Syrian army against rebel organizations. In recent years there have been reports of hundreds of Hezbollah fighters operating in Syria, with air cover provided by the Syrian army. Hezbollah operates mainly from Lebanon with finding from Iranian governmental sources. In 2006 they launched the Second Lebanon War against Israel. Syria, Israel's other northern neighbor has been involved in a civil war with stray rockets being shot into Israel on a more frequent basis. Although Syria is technically a state enemy, there has been no full scale armed conflicts with Israel since 1973.
