Israeli Airline Strike Enters Second Day

Flights by El Al, Arkia and Yisrair are suspended until further notice pending a National Labor Court hearing, Monday evening, on a petition by the Manufacturer's Association against the strike by employees of the airline. The strike started Sunday, ahead of the government's signature on an agreement with the European Union to open competition on routes to Israel. The Israeli airlines are at a price disadvantage because of unsubsidized security costs.

A general strike has been called for 5:00 Tuesday morning at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
